The cross bars were delivered in a timely manner and they were in good shape. The pictorial instructions were easy enough to follow. The overall quality appears to be good. There are a few negatives: The mounting bolts are too short (I bought replacement ones at a hardware store that were about a 1/2 inch longer - M6 x 35, stainless steel); also, there are problems with the rubber pieces that fit on clamps above and below the roof rack. The uppper ones stayed in place for the most part. The lower ones would not. I could see nothing but a headache installing these as is, so I used some exterior contruction adhesive to glue the lower rubber pieces to the metal lower clamp. After making these fairly minor changes, the cross bars installed fairly easily. Regarding complaints about these falling off, it would probably be best to strap whatever you are hauling to the factory roof racks rather than the cross bars. In my opinion, they are sturdy enough to lay things on, but maybe not for strapping purposes as well.

I have assembled and fitted them, but have not mounted them on the vehicle, since I only intend to have them on, while in use . They seem sturdy, and look pretty good. I wish they were made for more of an "on & off" type of temporary usage, as I intend to use them, rather than the much more permanent type of mounting, the hardware seems designed for . > The Plastic plugs, that cover the heads of bolts, that I intend to leave uncovered so they can be more easily removed, which, IF it was being left in a motel parking lot, over night, might be a little risky in some locations . It would be ideal for me, if they were somehow, lockable, and then could be unlocked . But they seem very good otherwise.
Would have been nice if the instructions had been in English, instead of German, here in the U.S., but its not hard to figure them out .
